My 10 yr Anniversay gift

Well, this is my 10 year anniversary gift. Althought Vince paid for it I picked it out. It is exactly what I was looking for. I know our anniversary isn't until August, but he gave it to me now. I just thought I'd share it with you. It's 14kt white gold and has 11 small diamonds across the top of the band. When I tried it on it fit like it was made just for me.

Look who turned the big 50

This past saturday I went to a 50th birthday party for my friend Denise. They had great bar -b -que, with all the fixings, and plenty of snacks. The cake was very good, and she loved all her gifts, especially all The Home Depot gift cards. I'm sure she enjoyed herself as well as her family and friends. Enjoy some of the photos from the party

Suit for the Wedding???

Nichole, Vince said he really does not want to wear a Tux and would like to wear his dark grey, almost looks black suit. Look at the picture and see if it is okay. If you don't like the suit and you WANT him to wear a tux he will. I told him I would at least ask you.

My best friends Graduation

My best friend Bonnie graduated college today. And she did it with Honors. It has taken her about 10 years but she did it. I'm very proud of her for her ability to do it all while working and taking care of her granddaughter for about 2 years and with the love and support of her husband Charles. After the service we all went to Eggs and Things for a great brunch. Thanks for the memories.

Were not millionaires

Well it looks like Vince still has to keep his day job at The Home Depot. Out of 1600 players he got down to the low 500's. Oh well theres next year. He will keep trying and one day it will payoff I just know it. I keep telling myself that money is not everything and I know it is not. We have alot of others riches. And that will do for now. I know that when the day comes and he wins something big it will be a big relief off his shoulders. I have heard it said before, "Getting the monkey off his back" to win a tournament.

Predisone

Well I was hoping to get off the drug Predisone, I have been on it for over ten years know I was down to 5mg, but I started having a problem with my left ankle and was developing more red spots on my legs. I saw my Rheumotoligist yesterday and he said I need to stay on the predisone for now and increase the dose for awhile. DARN!!! well maybe soon I know this is going to take awhile to get better. The one thing I really hate about predisone is that it puffs you up and I am hungry all the time so all I want to do is eat. And that is not good for those of you who know me you know that I have always been thin. And I like it that way. Nicholes wedding is coming up and I want to look good. NOT FAT. The dress I bought for the wedding is already fitting alittle tight. Vince said I need to do some leg lifts or something, I am going to try. Pain kinda keeps you from doing things. A few weeks ago I started walking 6 laps a day in a big area out back I did 3 days then my left ankle and foot started to hurt. So I had to stop. So know I only go around the RV's and take Tank for his walk. Well that's whats new for know. Nicholes looking for veil for the wedding. The one she likes is over 2 hundred dollars, she might try to make it herself. So much money for such a small thing. Today is Vince's B-Day I already gave him his present, but I will get a cake for tonight. Bonnie graduates college next friday, I'm very proud of my friend. I'm going to go to the graduating. LaDonna's doing good. Her and Travis is working on their relationship. Well that's all for now.

Looking forward to the Wedding

The days are ticking by, Nichole and Craig are working hard on the Wedding plans and things are coming along. The lake is flooded right now but she thinks it will be okay by Sept. I sure hope so. Things around here are the same old thing. Not a hole lot going on. I need to see my dr.tomarrow. Vinces birthday is friday I already gave him his present, a book on poker. He really likes it, in fact he has read the hole thing already. He is going to Las Vegas next week to play in a couple of tournaments.I sure hope he wins some money again. Last year he won almost 6 thousand. He's hoping to win alot more this year. And I will pray he does.

Here is a picture of LaDonna in the dress you picked out. They did not have her size in the Victorian Lilac, but we got it ordered and should be in before too long. Also here is a picture of a pair of shoes that LaDonna likes and they can be dyed to match the dress. We think it would look nice. The high heeled shoes I like and I thought you might like them. I think I am going to get the low pair as well and get them dyed to match my dress.

New Family Member

Well I have known for some time that my dad had a son "Kevin" before he was married to my mom and had us kids, A coulpe of days ago mom got a letter from Kevin. He has been searching for information on our dad since 1994. His sister in law came upon a notice about Rogers death and and I guess from there he was able to get more information and had been trying to get letters to anyone of us. He and I have been emailing for a few days now Kinda wierd. He has 5 children and 4 grandchildren and he is 57. I have actually had a photo of him as a baby with my dad, we never knew who that child was before, his mother has comfirmed that that is him and dad in the picture. Here is a picture of his family as he knew it. Kevin is the one on the far right in the blue shirt.

One month away

Well it is one month away from the 3 year anniversary of my brother Roger's death. And yet it still seems like only yesterday. Every year I have tried to do something special for my family on the anniversary. I'm not sure yet what I will do for this year. I sure do miss him! Smell the flowers

I think I'm gettting cabin fever. I have been just not feeling myself. And I'm sorry for that. I diffently want spring and summer to get here, I need the warm summer air. Well to help that out alittle I bought a few flowers from The Home Depot the other day and had Vince make me a small flower garden. I know he's not one for doing those kinda things but he did it for me. I really like my new flowers and I hope that if they survive I will plant a few more in are yard. I just need to stop and take the time to smell the flowers!

Lunch with the girls

A couple of saturdays ago us gals went for tea at one of Bonnie's favorite little tea houses in Santa Clarita. It was Bonnie, LaDonna, Denise, Linda and myself. We had a great day. Sandwiches and some great flavored tea. Bonnie gave us a glass photo frame with a picture of us in it. That was very nice. Looking forward to another day with the girls.

A beautiful day

Today I woke up and the sun was shining. It is a beautiful day out today. We have had some rain and snow these last couple of weeks. We had a doctors appointment today for Vince.
I visisted my neighbor Kathy to see her new cat, Mister. She lost her last cat last year. I think he got killed by coyotes. She also lost her husband 3 months ago. I worry about her, I know how difficult it is to loose someone close to you.
Valentines day LaDonna and I went to the cemetary to visit Rogers grave. Mom and Pop pop was there and Colin,Tami,Rebecca and Sofia also came and we had a balloon release.I bought a redl atex balloon for each of us. Grandma was very excited about it. She watched those balloons until they were no longer in sight. She said she saw a heart from the cloulds. I'm happy it made her happy for a moment. Then we went to lunch at my favorite little taco place. Nacho's. Yum Yum.
